I made a big decision the other day to take down my Daily Paintworks site and Etsy site to focus more on my paintings and less on trying to sell my works as I develop my style. I want to explore working bigger, focusing on my subject matter, painting outside...... and see what speaks to me and see where my style is taking me. If there are any images you might be interested in that you see here on my blog please don't hesitate to send me an e-mail to inquire. I will be tagging those that are available for sale. You can contact me at amyatamyschimlerdotcom.

I got accepted to my first gallery show for my paintings here in Atlanta which will be opening in August. It is at Anne Irwin Fine Art Gallery and the show is titled Emerging Artists. It is a wonderful opportunity for unrepresented artists to showcase there work. 25 people were chosen to participate and I was honored to be one of the 25. If you are local, please come by the show which opens August 12.

Here is a potted begonia plant that I painted yesterday and finished today. It is 10"x10" on a cradled board. This piece will be framed and will hang in the show.
